How to Create a WordPress Site and Avoid the Mistakes I Made, Part 4

By Atmara On August 12, 2010 Under Blogging tips, Recommended products

If you have had a look around my blog you may have noticed I wrote a 3 part series on How to Create a WordPress Site and Avoid the Mistakes I Made (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) shortly after I launched my site. I had found the process of setting up a blog and website through WordPress difficult not because of lack of information, but because of too much information. Everyone is putting out lots of free information in an attempt to build a mailing list and establish credibility in their field (both good things), but this has resulted in a glut of information that is difficult for the newbie to sift through and find the step by step help they need.

In Part 3 I gave you a list of resources that I had finally found (and wished I had found earlier) to help the beginner create a WordPress blog. And while I still think all of those resources are great (and some of them free!), I have recently come across a product that is so comprehensive and so useful that I have to write yet another post to introduce it to you. It’s called WordPress Wizard 2.0 by MaxBlogPress.

WordPress Wizard 2.0 contains 7 modules each with multiple videos which include:

  • Internet Marketing Basics – including everything from how to register a domain name to how to install and use a FTP program
  • Basic WordPress Tutorials – step by step instructions for setting up your blog, including adding plugins,  installing themes, all the basics of using WordPress
  • Advanced WordPress Tutorials – upgrading, using Windows™ Live Writer blog editor, How to Edit WordPress Theme CSS Styles (I still have no idea how to do this!), using RSS and more
  • Making Money from Blogs – from Adsense to Clickbank and everything affiliate
  • SEO and Link Building – How to effectively use links, keywords, sitemaps, etc.
  • RSS to Email Marketing – Step by step instructions on setting up and using an AWeber account (I could use this since I’ve only begun to learn how to effectively use mine)
  • Social Networking – All sorts of tools for efficiently managing Social Media sites (I could use this, too!)

Plus there are new videos being added each month. This is a huge package and so affordable. They are only charging $97. If I were just starting my WordPress Blog, this is definitely training I would purchase. It’s the most comprehensive package for a newbie that I have encountered so far, and the price is great.

So if you decide to purchase WordPress Wizard 2.0, or have already, please leave a comment and let us know how you like it.

I look forward to your thoughts and comments! (if you are reading this on the home page the link to comments is found to the far right of the post title)
